a treat box & some catching up

Crackers and cheese, can't beat it! I have rediscovered my love for crackers with a 40p packet from Tesco - oh the joys. Firstly, a little bit of catching up. I got the results of my second blood test last week, as I was called in less than 48 hours after! Very speedy for the doctors. The result was that my B12 is low (46-50) and my iron is also at a low count. I was prescribed yet more iron pills (they are the bane of my life). But the doctor said regarding the B12, he would like me to be retested in 1 month, with a test inclusive of intrinsic factor to rule out pernicious anaemia. He said even though my B12 is low, it isn't dangerously so just yet, so rather than start me on a lifetime treatment of injections, we'll see how it's doing in a month :)

Have you got your copy of Glamour magazine this month? This month the free gift is one of four products from balance Me. - pure skin face wash, wonder eye cream, balancing face moisturiser, or rose otto intensive lip salve. I really wanted the lip salve because my lips are always terrible, but they didn't have it in stock. So I chose the wonder eye cream - I've only used it once so I'm yet to know if it does work wonders! Has anyone else used these products, or are you going to?
The other thing pictured here is the delicious "Silvery Creme" Dairy Milk bar. It's one of three new bars to celebrate the Olympics. Can anyone remember the Bliss bars they did a while back? It's exactly like that! It has a smooth vanilla center and yummy!

This is a card I sent to my poorly niece, who has just got two new kittens :)

My favourite dinner - spaghetti bolognese & garlic bread with cheese, mmm!

Lastly is the treat box I sent home to my family, which they received in the mail yesterday :) it was so heavy it cost me £8.80 to post it!! It included lots and lots of sweets, chocolate and biscuits, drawing books for the little ones, Anastasia on DVD, a card from me to everyone, a thank you card from Mark for his birthday gift, a new ink cartridge for the printer, a fridge magnet, some heat protection spray, mum's hat that I borrowed, and a top my sister wants to take on holiday! It also included a couple of cards for some family that mum asked me to get :) aside from this I also ordered a 36 pack of Crayola pencil crayons to home for the little ones too!

What have you all been upto so far this weekend? I've spent my day at work, and it was very slow!! I was going to be good and do some OU work because I have an assignment due soon... that was when I realised I had the wrong book entirely!!! And the correct book is at home at my mum's house! oops..!

  4. Such fun pictures! I love seeing what kind of candy and stuff is available in the UK. Some of it looks similar to stuff here in the states but still, it makes me wonder how different they all taste.
