Sunday painting

This is what I spent my Sunday afternoon doing. It was heavenly; snow outside, Portugal The Man on the CD player, and a paintbrush in my hand. I've scheduled this post, as right about now I'm heading off to travel home to my mum's with Mark. Well, that is if the snow hasn't affected our train - so fingers crossed!! This picture is for my little sister Willow, and that ginger guy is supposed to be Ed Sheeran, who she is totally obsessed with!!!
Sunday morning Mark & I wandered into the village as I needed to pick up a few last minute bits for Indigo's birthday (my little sister, 4 on Thursday!), including Hello Kitty crackers, wrapping paper, and pink starry confetti!! We also picked up the marshmallows you might have spotted above (mmm!) as I'm not allowed any caffeine/chocolate until Tuesday night now. Sob sob. I'm an absolute self-confessed chocaholic! I finished Book 2 today, loved it! Can't stop reading once I've started, and I've already got Book 3 lined up to start tomorrow. So much for one book a month, at this rate I'll be way over :) as I'm going to be at home for the next week (until at least Monday 28th), I might not post as frequently. But I will still try to pop by and say hello, and I'm sure I'll have plenty of photos of family time to share with you all. And hopefully good news regarding all my hospital tests!! Although I won't find out the actual outcome until the end of February. I hope you have a lovely week!! And is anyone else hooked on Mr Selfridge on ITV? I'm loving it!

  1. Forgive me if I am being slow (I usually check in on my phone!) but I LOVE your new background (little teacups!) and your little paintings all over your blog. Absolutely adore them all!
I have had plans to revamp in a similar way, but can never find the time.
    Love the painting, as usual!

  2. Love the illustration! That sounds like my idea of a heavenly Sunday too, I haven't spent a whole day drawing/painting in soo long... I really miss it, it's so annoying when you just don't have the time.
Hope you managed to get to your Mums ok & hope your little sis has a brilliant birthday too! :)

  4. You have an extraordinary gift! I always wished I was a better drawer, and I always wished I could have learned how to properly use watercolors... (but thankfully?) that doesn't stop me from using them anyway... *blush*
Any quick tips/things to avoid when using watercolors post would be super cool *wink*
    xx
