OOTD: Thrown on casual

Bowler hat - Helene Berman via Ebay £7.50
Boucle jacket - River Island £25 sale
Floral wreath t-shirt - All Saints gift
Black biker seam jeans - Zara £9.99 sale
Leather Chelsea boots - TK Maxx £35
Embroidered brooch - given to me by my dad

This is one of those comfortable, thrown on kind of outfits that's slouchy enough for mooching around the supermarket on a Sunday afternoon (and buying an Easter egg, Gü desserts and chocolate muffins... do you think I was in a chocolate mood?).

This is one of my favourite t-shirts, and of course the beautiful design has the All Saints aesthetic written all over it. Paired with my trusty boucle jacket and my new Zara sale jeans, it makes for a casual daytime look. These Zara jeans have been worn pretty much non-stop since I got them, you can't see on the photos but they have biker-esque seams on the legs which make for a bit of added detail and some interesting leg patterns when I take them off.

Because of the thrown together feel I didn't want to add any jewellery, but this sweet little hand embroidered brooch was the perfect addition. It's one of my favourite things, and one of the treasures my dad gave to me. He was a treasure hunter, and loved having a rummage at car boot sales and a good bargain (see where I get it from?!).

What is your 'throw on' outfit?

My lovely friend Samantha of All I Know Now is raising funds to volunteer this Summer in Thailand. Any donations, however small, will help send Sam on her way. So even if you can only spare £1, please head over to Sam's JustGiving page and give what you can. It's for a great cause and Sam really deserves this amazing opportunity, if you're not familiar with her blog or her story then just know that Sam has come such a long way and I'm really proud!

  5. That brooch is the cutest thing ever! It would be one of my favourite things too. What a lovely papa, it's so nice to have great memories of people- little things like this, little objects make the memories so much more.

Thanks for doing more outfit posts recently- I've been enjoying them! <3

  6. Ahh, Gü desserts are THE BEST. You have such a lovely style, the hat and jacket combo is killer. I'll usually opt for a plain skater skirt, striped top and flats (with tights and a coat in the winter) if I need to be out of the door fast (aka every single day haha). Have a good week! xx

  12. This is the perfect throw on outfit, I really love how that jacket has flecks of all different colours mixed in, such a pretty texture! The brooch is such a wonderful thing to have from your Dad too, it's great to have little memories like this that you can wear & appreciate. I have so many pieces of jewellery with great memories attached, and I love telling people the stories behind them - I think that's kinda what jewellery is for right? Like a wearable memory. My throw on outfit is always a jersey dress (comfort!), tights, boots & a blazer to smarten it up :)

  14. Oh my goodness, right away when I saw that brooch, I scrolled down to see where you got it from. It's sooooo gorgeous! And the fact your dad gave it to you is super special- definitely a beautiful treasure! This whole outfit is so you and I'm always a fan of your style. xxx

My "throw on" outfit probably consists of a skirt or pants with a sweater and perhaps a scarf. Usually I make sure that since the rest of my outfit is plain, my shoes are more "exciting". :)
