15 by 2015: My new goals

So far this year my motto has been let's do it. This is the year of our first abroad holiday together, we're going to Barcelona.
I'm going to sell my artwork in my very own Etsy shop. I want to see the sparkling lights of Blackpool illuminations. I got
two diaries for Christmas and I've been making sure I keep them up to date. This year marks the 5 year anniversary of my
dad passing away. It's easy to relegate memories that might provoke sadness to another day, I want to make more of a
conscious effort to remember both happy and sad memories. Mark & I want to make the big move this year. Our long term
plan was always to relocate back to where I grew up. I want to leave lovely anonymous notes for strangers to find. I want
to get another tattoo. I'd like to learn to drive for the second time (I never took my test). I'm going to take hundreds and
thousands of photographs. We're both searching for new jobs to relocate. I will illustrate things Indigo has said. I need
more snuggles and mischief with my little fluff ball. I'm going to write a letter to myself. I'm going to keep being positive.

Do you have a list of goals or resolutions for the year ahead? Please leave me a link :)

  1. These are such good goals! I like that you're posting them at the end of January, after thinking about it for a while- I feel like resolutions that you make right at the beginning of the new year just aren't going to happen :) I'm looking forward to seeing your photographs and having a browse of your Etsy shop! Sounds really cool. Good luck for them all! xx

  5. I really love this Hannah! It's such a good list of things, I love how none of it is boring (like 'cut out fizzy drinks' haha) it's rare to see a post on someone's goals for the year about having fun! Good luck with them, especially the more serious ones like the job hunt. I'm hoping to go to Barcelona this year and get my first tattoo, I kind of hope you go to Spain before me so you can come back and give me loads of tips haha! xxx

  6. There are some great goals here, a lovely list I hope you can look back at the end of the year and be happy you achieved them all. Some of them definitely mirror mine - especially the last one, I think we all need to do that.

  10. I am in love with the way you created those hearts - so gorgeous!! :) I'm so excited & looking forward to seeing you achieve all your goals. I can't wait for you to share with us your upcoming trip abroad- I'm sure it'll be so fun! I know how you feel about the driving thing... I am embarrassed to say this and I have never really told anyone but I passed my driving test about 6 years ago (that's not the embarrassing part) and I haven't driven since the day I passed...it terrified me... It's not like I had a bad experience or anything (I only learned to drive long enough to take the test so basically I've only driven a handful of times) I often feel I'm not "aggressive" enough to drive especially here in California where everyone drives like a maniac (not sure how it is in the UK?). I would like to be more independent though so if I can save up for a car soon, I don't think I'd mind driving where I currently live because it's pretty calm, for the most part.

Also, I think I've said it before but I absolutely can't wait til you open your Etsy shop!! xxx

  19. Wow Hannah, I'm really touched by all these poignant and uplifting resolutions <3

I especially love the way you have set them out so beautifully! Definitely go and see the illuminations; I saw them when I was a young child and the memories still make me smile even now. I love the idea of leaving notes for strangers, it's something I wouldn't have even thought of but now you've said it I really love that idea :) Best of luck with the tattoo as well, nothing can quite beat the excitement of getting something so special for yourself that will always mean something!

Wish you all the best; what an exciting year ahead you have! I hope all your dreams for 2014 come true <3

  20. This is such a lovely post, and really inspiring too - there's a couple of things on here I'd like to do/achieve as well! I hope you manage to complete them all by next year, though I'm sure you will :) Barcelona is one of my favourite places I've ever been, such a wonderful city I just know you will both have an amazing time there! If you need any tips/recommendations just ask :)

  21. I connect with so many of these, Hannah. I think I best make the driving one part of my resolution too. I passed my test 10 years ago, coming up 11 - and for reasons I won't go in to (don't want to be a downer on your corner of the Internet) I've been scared to drive. I was raring to go as soon as I passed, I even got a car (which i eventually sold) but then slowly, I became more anxious to drive. I am a nervous passenger too. I always feel really stupid of being scared of things that people do on a daily basis. :-(
