billionaire's cake & bear with the letters

After a little walk through the village to the paper shop to see if Mark's parcel was there yet (it wasn't!), we popped in to Ruben's on the way home for a slice of the most delicious cake ever - Billionaire's cake!

The bottom layer is soft, chewy chocolate brownie. The middle layer is gooey caramel and it's topped off with a thick layer of milk chocolate. If there is a Ruben's by you - you have to go in and try it!!! It tastes so good but one slice is enough to share between two!

This evening I have been writing letters back to Phoebe, Phoenix and Indigo. I haven't had Phoenix's letter yet but mum did tell me she has one from him to send (probably because Phoebe waits eagerly for the mail each morning for my reply!!!).

We popped into Gould's yesterday for these lovely coloured papers and envelopes especially, and I thought I'd give my bear stickers their first use :) I decorated the papers with gold polka dot washi tape.

These are what Phoebe, Phoenix and Indigo will receive in the post shortly :)

...and now they are all sealed in their envelopes with Matisse waiting to go to the postbox tomorrow!

hello, mr postman

First things first, a photo of my lovingly prepared (by Mark) lunch yesterday, all yellow! He made this for me after our morning of OU studying, and assignment writing on my part. A tedious reflective essay, but I'm glad it's out of the way.

cheese sandwiches, cheese crisps, & lemon cake

Now, this morning I was delighted to find this assortment of packages...

...and I was even more delighted when I opened them all!!

Most importantly, my two letters! Sent to me from home by two of my little sisters :) the first was sent by Phoebe, who is 8, and the 'card' itself was a little stuck together as I believe they creatively used their play dough to stick sequins on!!! The second was from Indigo, who is 3, and I knew as soon as I saw the envelope because she has a thing about decorating every available surface! I was very happy as I miss my family lots :) and will be promptly replying as requested on Phoebe's letter..!

This top was a gift from mumma bear, who knows I have been after it for absolutely ever!!! This top is from Topshop, and when it first went on sale I reserved one in my local store... however when I went to buy it they informed me I couldn't have it!!! I was so disappointed, but it turned out that Topshop had to recall the entire product because they didn't have the rights to have Coco Chanel on their top. So the top became highly sought after, and after many months of waiting for one to pop up on Ebay at a half decent price... voila! Thank you mumma bear x :)

Last but certainly not least, my Moo order arrived! I ordered a book of 90 stickers featuring my grizzly bear faces. I am so pleased with them - they are the high quality you expect from Moo, and so shiny!!

If you would like to purchase anything from Moo (I highly recommend them!!) you can get 10% off by going through this link :)
