Hello lovelies, I travelled to my mum's in the Midlands last night, and it's still snowing here!! It's white over. So rather than venture outside, we've spent today indoors. We were going to venture out with my younger siblings and their bikes, but have decided to wait until a less snowy day! Especially seeing as Indigo only just had her bike for her 4th birthday, and she can't really ride it just yet. Because I'm at home until Tuesday, I might not post again until then, or I might pop by and just say hello. Bare with me, I'll be back!! In the mean time, don't forget to enter my 50 follower giveaway for your chance to win a custom illustration of yourself.
Today's post is about my two favourite dresses. The first is my tba blue velvet dress with a cut-out collar. It's soft, it flares out when you twirl with the full skirt, and I absolutely love it. It has two hidden pockets in the sides of the skirt, and a lovely button-up detail at the back. With my pale skin, I find this shade of blue very flattering! The second dress is one that I probably love a teensy bit more than even the tba one, and it is my Luella dress. It was an Ebay purchase a few years ago, shortly after Luella ceased trading. It cost me a fair bit of money and still is the most expensive dress I have ever bought! But I couldn't live without it, I knew from the moment I saw it that I had to have it. It's shift style is the perfect shape, and just the right length (with a pair of thick tights for me!). It is made of silk, and has flocked velvet polka dots all over. The longer-than-usual sleeves are cuffed in a thick velvet band, and to finish it all of it fastens at the back of the neck with a big velvet bow. I couldn't love this dress anymore than I already do, it ticks all of my perfect dress boxes! It is my take on the classic LBD - and everyone needs one of those! These are two dresses that I know I will love and treasure forever.
Do you have a favourite dress (or two!)? I'd love to see them :)

ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous! Those dresses are so, so pretty, well worth the money. Jealous you got your hands on a bit of Luella, I was so sad when the label ended. Still am actually! xxx
ReplyDeleteAhh that Luella dress is so beautiful & it looks gorgeous on you! I love the little details like the bow at the back, makes it so worth the expense. Like Josie I was really sad when it ended, most people would think it'd be too girly for me but I loved her black dresses so much! The TBA dress is lovely too, love the collar detail & the velvet looks so lush & heavy, perfect!
