Little Five Friday #12 (and a couple extra!)

Hello everyone! How are you all doing? Here I am trying to get a bit of normality and routine going on again with my little blog, with a Little Five Friday catching up with what's been happening the last few weeks. Aside from what's here, we also made a little trip back to the Wirral for Mark's mum, Sandra's birthday. It was so nice to see Sandra, Mark's brother Craig, and nana Mary again. We won't be going again until later this month, we're definitely missing the Wirral! I've been struck down with various illnesses (a change of location didn't help!) and my costochondritis has flared up again at the moment. I've done lots of studying whilst enjoying a PJ day today though, so there are upsides!

1. When we first arrived here I went to see my best friend Leah in Eloquent's
Rainbow dance show, the school she teaches at. She was amazing like every time
I see her dance! So proud, it's less than 6 months since she gave birth to Belle!

2. I had my very first Etsy sale! I finally set up my Etsy shop, shhboutique.
It's not finished, but I have a few things for sale and I can't wait to add
more once I'm all caught up with studying and assignments.

3. Need I say more? Seeing his furry little face looking up at me just makes
everything okay. He's playful and at the moment he loves banana and carrot.

4. Mark & I with a few of our family members went on a daytrip to the seaside!
We couldn't have asked for better weather, and it was lovely being by the sea.
Indigo definitely enjoyed it, I'll do a full post with some photos next week.

5. Easter Sunday I spent four hours in work, and did my first locking up of
the shop! I then had a delicious roast dinner with three different meats (mmm
gammon!) with all of my family, it was lovely to see them all in one place.

6. Did you see my Santoro London post? The lovely Rebekah sent me out some of
the prettiest stationery I've seen, I can't wait to add more to my collection!

7. This week Mark & I went to Drayton Manor, Mark's first time! We did end up
having quite a nice day, but there were downsides too. I'll write a full post
on this once I pick up my photos when they're developed.

Have you done anything exciting/different this Easter? One of my favourite things in the world is spending time with my family and friends. It's lovely being able to do that so easily now we've moved!

Handmade Mondays #9: Illustration of my siblings

Hello lovelies, Handmade Mondays are making an appearance again! This time it's something a little different,
in that it isn't a feature on an existing shop. Instead today's Handmade Monday is an illustration I've done for my
little brother and sisters; Phoebe, Indigo and Phoenix.

At some point this year I'm hoping to start up my own Etsy shop! Is a custom illustration something you'd be interested in buying for yourself, or as a gift to others?

I'm such a procrastinator, and where many others would just open the shop and pop one picture in and state custom illustration for sale, I need it all to be perfect and to have lovely stock photos and more than one item!

What's your favourite creative hobby?

Handmade Mondays #2: Ohh Deer

Hi lovelies, I hope you don't mind but this week for Handmade Monday, I'm cheekily featuring my own design on a
cushion competition that ends today on Ohh Deer. Ohh Deer is a wonderful website full of artsy products, and I've
quite a few things that are on the website. My particular favourites are two cushions by Sandra Dieckmann. Oh, guess
what one features? You got it, a bear! I'll definitely be featuring Ohh Deer again on Handmade Mondays, but for now...

01. dear Suzy, dear Sam... by yours truly
The first design is a full sized illustration of Suzy Bishop & Sam Shakusky, as originally drawn and painted in watercolour
by myself. These cushions are absolutely gorgeous, as I said before I own two already. The quality is fantastic, they're
Vegan and the back is made from super soft faux suede, with a fibre insert. They measure 43x43cm and are machine washable.

02. Suzy, Sam, Suzy, Sam by yours truly
This cushion is the same again, but there are multiple Suzy and Sams! What more could adventure loving folk want than the
best adventurers themselves on a cushion?!

If you love Moonrise Kingdom, or your friend/partner loves Moonrise Kingdom and you'd like to buy one of these cushions, you must act quickly! They are available for one week only, the shop closes 11th November.

Rachael's giveaway prize

Hello lovelies, have you all been enjoying the snow if you've had it? If not I hope you've been making the most of not being freezing cold!! I was in work all day yesterday, trudged there in the deep snow and had a handful of customers all day. But my lovely work colleague had left some gossip magazines for me, so it wasn't all bad!

Today we've definitely made the most of the snow though, Mark, Sandra & I got ourselves ready this morning and headed out to the Beacons to play in the snow. More on that tomorrow..! I thought I'd just pop and do a little blog post tonight, as I spotted that Rachael had posted on her blog about the illustration she won in my giveaway earlier this month. If you pop over to Rachael's blog, you can see more detailed photos. I'm so glad that Rachael likes it :) I just wanted to remind everyone that there's 15% off custom illustrations in my shop until April 1st. This means that for an illustration like Rachael's, it's just £6.80 at the moment plus P&P.
